New Fork of GitHub-Style Hugo Theme
As a fan of the static site generator, Hugo, I’ve been working on a new theme to offer a fresh look and feel to Hugo sites. I’m excited to introduce a GitHub-Style theme, a fork of the excellent original theme created by MeiK2333. I’ve been actively updating the theme, and as of June 11, 2023, I’ve made some notable changes including the removal of the profile banner and a redundant theme toggle to streamline the user interface.
I’ve designed the GitHub-Style theme to be easy to install and to offer a wide range of features for site customization.
You can add the theme to your site with a simple git submodule add
command. The theme also provides a variety of ways
to display content, either through using a summary or the more
tag, offering flexibility in determining what
content will appear on the posts page.
One of the unique features I’ve incorporated into the theme is the ability to add last modified data into
the config.toml
. This feature is particularly useful for those who frequently update their content. Additionally, I’ve
included support for Gitalk comments and LaTeX, making the theme versatile and suitable for a wide range of websites. If
you’re a fan of GitHub’s minimalist style or are looking for a theme that supports various content formats, I invite you
to take a closer look at my GitHub-Style Hugo theme.
